This year we are challenging the idea of what a bookshop can be for it's community. After having events in the shop last year we realised how it can be a real gathering place for people to come and hang out, discuss books, the arts and everything in-between.

We love supporting the arts in our community and have come up with the concept of "Bookshop Sessions" - a series of performances from a small intimate venue. This could be music (think ambient, chill etc...), poetry or even a one person play.

• Musicians with a difference - Artists exploring ambient music, chill, lo-fi,  soundscapes, instrumentals, sound artists, electronica)
• Poets
• Spoken Word Artists
• Performance Art
• Plays (1 or 2 person shows)

At this stage we are just putting the idea out there to see if anyone is interested, so if you know someone making ambient music with a modular synth, running their harp through effects pedals or performing poetry please share this with them!
